Project overview
As part of a long-term project to enhance the website’s visual consistency and usability, I am developing a comprehensive design system in Figma that will establish global styles and components. This work is based on key findings from my previous website audit, which identified inconsistencies in typography, spacing, grid layouts, UI elements, and more.
Branding guidelines from Lucy Miller
Working from the graphic designer’s rebranding proposal, which introduces a sleek and modern visual identity, I have begun defining core elements such as typography styles, text links, colours, grids, and spacing, ensuring alignment with a 4px baseline grid for precision. I have also identified a UI library that integrates seamlessly with the custom icon set, helping to create a cohesive and scalable design system.
This system will serve as the foundation for future development, streamlining workflows by providing reusable, standardised design assets that will later be implemented in WordPress and Elementor. As the project evolves, additional components will be designed, tested, and refined to create a unified and efficient digital experience. The work is ongoing, with more elements to be confirmed in collaboration with key stakeholders.
